6. In God We Trust - Uninformed friar Feldman treks to L.A. to get cash for his monastery. This movie is a comedy that is unfortunately not funny starring Richard Pryor, who is cast as God. Cast includes Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Louise Lasser, Richard Pryor, Andy Kaufman, Wilfrid Hyde-White, and Severn Darden. (97 minutes, 1984)

7. Leaving Las Vegas - Ben plays a full-blown alcoholic. He has ruined his life, so he takes what cash he has left, and goes to Las Vegas for one final party. His first move is to hire a street hooker, an comparably troubled soul. The connection between these two will lead to ruin or redemption for them both.

8. In Enemy Country - So-so designer of WW2 enthrall, set in France and England, filmed on a back-lot. Not particularly persuading. Cast includes Tony Franciosa, Anjanette Comer, Guy Stockwell, Paul Hubschmid, Tom Bell, and Emile Genest. (107 minutes, 1968)
