Polygamy is not something new to the world and it is not something that is restricted to just the Mormons being purportedly in involved in this. It is believed that Jews, Muslims and Christians many centuries ago all practiced polygamy. In Greece it was classed as being a form of concubines. For men in Macedonia this was an acceptable practice to ensure there would be a male heir. This was most common to be found in royalty. In Greece homosexuality was acceptable as well as polygamy. So the point of being is that this is not new to one religious sect or new to the world and it is something that has been widespread for centuries.

Since Mormons only worship the Father and not Christ why do they call their church the church of Jesus Christ?

There is no doubt that many religions are challenged from that which is opposed to it. Perhaps more so about the Mormon religion which is probably based on their teachings. They are staunch and they have been around for a long period of time and the Mormons are dedicated to their beliefs.

An individual that is a Mormon will tell you that their church is a strong encouragement in their reading of their book of Mormon on a daily basis. Even though the Prophets support this it is not uncommon for a Mormon to get taken up with the other aspects of life and forget to read their book. They do not take away from the emphasis that the book of Mormon is what the truth of their church is based on and it is critical reading material. It is extremely an important that for a Mormon to make the reading of the book of Mormon a part of their daily life

It would seem that any time that the topic of Mormonism comes up then the word polygamy becomes part and parcel of the conversation. This is based on the age-old concept of going back many years ago when it was believed that the Mormons which are now the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints practiced polygamy. This is no longer something that takes place within the Mormon religion.

It must be quite difficult for Mormons to be constantly challenged about their religion. It doesn’t matter whether it is a senior of the church or a young Mormon missionary. When one listens to a young person particularly about Mormonism it is not hard to see that they totally believe in what they stand for and have every right to promote their beliefs.

Mormons are so different from true Christianity – evangelical Protestantism. Why do they say they are Christian?

The Mormons take great offense to being referred to as a cult. Yet that the true meaning of the word cult is a system of religious worship. The question that arises, is the Mormon religion a true cult? The problem is that the Mormons believe that when the word cult is used that it is referred to as a unfavorable religion such as one that is made up of horrid things that are taking place amongst that religion. For the most part but that is the general consensus when people are referring to cults. The Mormons will stand on the fact that no they are not a cult and there is nothing that they teach or do that is unhealthy in any shape or form.

There have been some statistics coming out Utah about the Latter-Day Saints Church. Why Utah is so prominent is because 70% of the population there are of the Mormon faith. Whats even more interesting is that 94% of the state is white and other interesting factor is that Utah has claimed the title as being a very dangerous place.

There is no doubt that it is easy for others to be critical of another’s religion. There has been a great controversy over the Mormon religion which is officially known as the Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. For a young person that is part of the Mormon missionary being in school and being of this it can be quite trying. Most often even those that are closest friends that are non-Mormon cannot understand why someone would want to be involved in such a religion that has such a on Orthodox doctrine.
