Today all come with a larger rear axle which has made the bikes much more stable. They have also spent time on improving the mounting of the engines within the motorcycles. Today all Harley Davidson engines are mounted on to rubber that is placed on the frame and this reduces the amount of vibration the rider will feel.

This results in reduction in the amount of gear whine that all Harley Davidson motorcycles use to make. Then in 2007 they changed their bikes engines from being carburetted to them being fuel injected.
