Get Rid Of Bed Bugs Properly
We were just fortunate we insisted on exchanging rooms with our visiting friend and his family. They were supposed to sleep in the guest room, but since the room was quite uncomfortable for a family of six, we offered to exchange rooms with them. Our masters’ bedroom is more than big enough for their whole family and it has its own bathroom and comfort room. Why do we say we are fortunate? The reason here is that our guest room if heavily infested with bed bugs, that’s why. It would have been a humiliating experience for us had my friend and his family slept on the guest room.
At first they were adamant not to exchange rooms with us. They insisted they are the ones inconveniencing us so therefore it is not necessary to exchange places with them. They also said the room is fine with them. However come nighttime, we’ve learned that my friends wife has just went through an operation and as such needs to go to the bathroom every now and then. This time we insisted we change rooms with them in lieu of the condition of the wife.
My friend finally relented and we exchanged rooms as soon as dinner was over. That’s when we finally discovered that our guest room is heavily infected by bed bugs. No sooner have my wife and I gone to sleep when we are rudely awakened by painful bites. When we got up, we are full of red swelling all over our body. We were not able to sleep again that night and we spent the whole night hunting for the pesky crawlers.
When the morning came, our friend commented on our looks. We cannot hide it and it’s very evident we were not able to sleep well last night. We gave them the excuse that we spent all night talking and reminiscing because the room brought so much memories of the past to us. Ha! You don’t expect us to tell them the truth, do you? No way!
My friend and his family left, but still there is a problem that needs to be fixed. We immediately called for a pest extermination services to free our rooms from any pest that exist. It’s a good thing that my friend and his family only stayed for a night because my I don’t think my wife can still survive to sleep another night with the bed bugs all over the place. But still a good experience for us because my friend left our house with good impression for us, and importantly, we get rid those pesky creatures!
