Benefits Of Acai Berry
Everyone wants to know whether the benefits from Acai fruits are real. After taking some time to think about Acai and reading over some research, I found that there are clearly benefits from Acai. Unfortunately, there are also false claims being used by companies selling Acai berry products to entice people into buying a fake version of Acai. There are still some alleged Acai benefits that are currently undergoing scientific testing that you should know about.
The acai berry plant can be seen growing wild above the local palm trees in the South American jungle. Rows of acai palms are cultivated in government projects where the nurseries produce millions of plants each year. Workers, who harvest the acai berries, then blend them to create a healthy fruit pulp. Until a decade ago, private landowners were allowed to deforest half of their land. Now legislation has amended the figure to twenty percent.
What makes acai berries so helpful in eliminating these cell deteriorating toxins from our bodies? The answer to that question is in the acai berries’ molecular make-up. It has been proven that antioxidants are the key to eliminating free radicals. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, helping cleanse our bodies of harmful toxins. There many foods that have large levels of antioxidants that are being revered as extremely healthy. Foods such as pomegranates and red grapes are known to help protect us form many diseases such as cancer and heart disease. The acai fruit has a considerably higher content of antioxidants then any other food. This may very well make acai berries the healthiest food in the world.
In this day of pesticides, chemicals, and other environmental toxins, we need valuable antioxidants contained in superfood acai berries on our side. You have probably heard about the benefits of red wine against premature aging, but the natural occurrence of anthocyanins in acai berries is twenty times the rate found in red wine.
There are other scientific papers that have claimed that Acai is a great source of protein. Apparently the Acai berry is able to supply plenty of protein to our body; containing higher protein amounts than you can get from eating an egg. Not to mention, Acai products typically do not have the high levels of cholesterol that eggs do. This benefit of getting a healthy amount of protein is most definitely true.
Acai powder can be added to any juice or water. Acai berries have a chocolaty, fruity taste and tastes great sprinkled on top of fruits or any other healthy dessert. Mix some acai berry powder into your favorite yogurt for a little extra flavor that will also help you become more healthy and fit. All in all, acai berries are definitely worth trying out. They can get a bit expensive, but can you really put a price on your health?
The Acai berry contains a vital nutrient called “anthocyanins,” which has been proven to benefit our health. Some claim that “anthocyanins,” which can also be found in red grapes and red wine, is able to improve the health of our entire cardiovascular system. Whether those claims are true, I am not sure. What I do know though, is that the Acai berry contains significantly more anthocyanins than red grapes and red wine combined. This is what gives the Acai berry its dark, purplish color.
