The Cairngorm Mountains were hit while at lower levels there was floods on quite a few roads as rain added to the wintertime woes.

Needless to say we expect to have the winter season up here in Orkney however it is still not much fun whenever we get a battering. Certainly the initial two thirds of November were surprisingly warm with flowers still flowering and birds getting mixed-up and constructing nests and courting. They must surely have got the message now, that that they were being a bit early.
