3121 Perfume : Why You Should Wear This Scent

In 2007 Perfume, the perfume 3121 Perfume for women was launched by the designer Prince. The perfumer behind this creation was Adriana Medina.

Prince 3121 Perfume is available in the eau de parfum. Fragrances generally come in one of four types of concentrations: eau de cologne, eau de toilette, eau de parfum, and parfum. Eau de cologne is made up of about 2% to 5% perfume oil; eau de toilette, about 4% to 15% perfume oil; eau de parfum, about 10% to 20% perfume oil; and parfum, about 15% to 25% perfume oil. Therefore, the percentage of perfume oil in 3121 Prince is between10% to 20%.

All perfumes and colognes can be classified into one of fourteen different Families according to the Fragrance Wheel. The Fragrance Wheel is a classification system, which was created by Michael Edwards in 1983. 3121 is a member of the Floral Family. What separates this Family from the others is its more distinctive use of freshly cut flowers notes.

Each Family defined in the Fragrance Wheel is divided into four more subcategories called Fresh, Crisp, Classical, and Rich. These divisions correspond to different intensities of the dominant fragrance notes associated with each Family. Think of these intensities like the differences between Soprano (Fresh), Alto (Crisp), Tenor (Classical), and Bass (Rich). Prince 3121 is in the Crisp subdivision of the Floral Family.

The life of every fragrance progresses through three stages. They are referred to as Top Notes, Middle Notes, and Base Notes. These stages are a result of the varying levels of volatility of the fragrance notes that make up a fragrance. In other words, some fragrance ingredients in 3121 Perfume will evaporate faster than others, therefore producing different impressions at certain stages of its life on the skin.

Top Notes are the initial impact a perfume gives when applied to the skin, and lasts about 10 to 20 minutes. The Top Notes forPrince 3121 Perfume are Gardenia, Jasmine, and Bergamot.

Middle Notes emerge when the Top Notes dissipate. Middle Notes are known for being the key scent for a perfume. Lily of the Valley, Ylang-Ylang, Orange Blossom and Tuberose are the Middle Notes for the perfume 3121.

The scent that emerges once the Middle Notes start to fade is called Base Notes. They give the fragrance its holding power by helping to slow down the stages of evaporation of the lighter notes. The Base Notes for Prince 3121 include Patchouli, Musk, Cedar and Sandalwood.
